12/28/09 - Laurie Bothwell, as been selected by the Clackamas County Fair Board as the new Director. Laurie has been employed with the Event Center since 2002 and was the executive assisant to Rayven Davis, past Director for three years.
9/23/09 - Rayven Davis, who led the Clackamas County Fair and Event Center for nine years, has resigned due to health reasons. The resignation was effective September 18. Davis, a Canby resident, has been Fair Manager since 2000.
6/2/09 - Great music, wine, art and food to be found at Canby Wine & Art Festival, June 5-7. 2009
The 18th annual Canby Wine & Art Festival will take place at the Clackamas County Event Center this weekend. This year's festival features 14 Oregon wineries, more than 30 artisans and vendors, fabulous food from Hayden's Grill, Lovin Spoonful Catering, Bella Luna Coffee and Desserts and more! Live music will be played on stage all weekend by the Patrick Lamb Band, Brady Goss, the Jacob Merlin Band, Valerie Day Trio, Debra Arlyn, and The Touchables. A large awning on the Main Lawn will provide covered seating for event goers to enjoy the music, wine and food in comfort, regardless the weather. Admission is only $5.00, or $12.00 for a 3-day event pass. Wine & food are additional.
5/16/09 - County Officials, City of Canby Officials, and Guests Gather to Dedicate new Clackamas County Event Center Message Board. More than 30 county and city officials, Representative Bill Kennemer, Senator Martha Schraeder, and other guests gathered at the Clackamas County Event Center on May 14 to dedicate the Event Center's new Digital LED highway readerboard sign. The new sign, which was funded by Clackamas County through the innitiative of the Clackamas County Commissioners, provides the Clackamas County Event Center with improved resources for informing the community and travelers about upcoming events and special events in the community. The sign also has the capability to be used by local safety agencies to notify the community about emergencies.
4/3/09 - Clackamas County Fairgrounds Announces New Name, New Sign, New Look
Today the Clackamas County Fairgrounds announced the roll out of a new branding campaign, timing with the construction of a new digital LED Message Center on 99E to replace the facility's aging and ailing sign. The new LED sign isĀ important to our ability to promote events at our facility, but more importantly to add capability for serving an an Emergency Management Shelter in the future.
We are now the Clackamas County Event Center. The name change better reflects our business as an event center hosting hundreds of thousands of guests each year 52 weeks of the year. The annual Clackamas County Fair is just one of the many events we host throughout the year.
